Indulge in the best of all delicacies

Preparation tips and many recipes

Caviar stands as a synonym for culinary pleasure par excellence. Served in a classically tradionally manner or ingeniously refined - caviar always becomes the highlight of a festive menu. In the following pages we would like to give you some suggestions and introduce new ideas for pure caviar pleasure as well as recipes for sturgeon.

During ceremonious occasions caviar is mostly served on an ice base. Traditionally one adds sour cream and Blini (small buckwheat Russian pancakes). Caviar also tastes delicious with buttered toast bread or with baked potatoes. The accompaniment which is added should not be overpowering in taste and should not affect the fine aroma of the caviar. Ideal spirituous liquors with caviar are classically fine vodka or even dry white wine or champagne.

However, caviar still has much more to offer other than the high indulgence value: The delicacy is very rich, for example, in egg white and in vitamins D, E and B 12.

Another tip: Caviar should be always eaten using a spoon made out of bugle horn or mother-of-pearl, because these materials have no influence on the taste of the caviar. Spoons made of gold can also be used. By no means, use silver or metal spoons.
